Dear Readers, There is not going to be any regrets. We tried to sell yesterday with a reasonable risk/reward ratio. Did not work, did not make money, but did not lose either. If market keeps crashing, hopefully we will find another entry point even as I consider crash here a low probability.

QQQQ fifth level support has been almost hit.
SPX only first level support has been hit
R2k Just hit the first level support only
Conclusion, is this just NASDAQ GAME?

This will force the hands of the central banks and/or the politicians, likely sooner rather than later.

question is - what can/will they do? No easy or given answers I would guess.

" . . . While the tone of equity markets has calmed, the sense of crisis in the interbank markets actually appears to be growing – especially in London.
In particular, the cost of borrowing funds in the three-month money markets – as illustrated by measures such as sterling Libor or Euribor – is continuing to rise, suggesting a frantic scramble for liquidity among financial groups.

This trend is deeply unnerving for policymakers and investors alike, not least because it is occurring even though the European Central Bank and the US Federal Reserve have taken repeated steps in recent weeks to calm down the money markets.

“What is happening right now suggests that the moves by the Fed and ECB just haven’t worked as we hoped,” admits one senior international policymaker.

Or as UniCredit analysts say: “The interbank lending business has broken down almost completely . . . it is a global phenonema and not restricted to just the euro and dollar markets.”

. . .

It appears that the prospect of receiving new liquidity demands has prompted banks to rush to raise funds – and, above all, hoard any liquidity they hold.

. . .

“The system has just completely frozen up – everyone is hoarding,” says one bank treasurer. “The published Libor rates are a fiction.”

This situation could become increasingly dangerous in part because many other markets, such as swaps, are priced off the three-month Libor and Euribor rates. So the interbank freeze could have knock-on effects throughout the financial system.

Dear Cobbense, Is the Cash KING, long live new KING.

The answer IS GOLD. And Debt liquidation and London/NewYork home prices going to ZERO. This may look far geteched to some, but it is not for me in 2 years horizon.

Good Trading

Zero ??? Good grief Boris, sounds like we're getting a new currency.

I guess that is what you're saying with gold.

Dear Dave, I maybe blow something out of proportion from time to time, but. I do think that my $US forecast fits this scenario nicely.
$US goes down into next PASSOVER ( March 2008) Makes a HUGE runup into mid 2009 ( causing depression like panic ) and then collapses as the authorities realize that it must either collapse or everything else around us must collapse.

That is what I see an OSCILLATOR running from Hyperinflation fears to Hyperdepression fears. Eventually resolving into 2-3 years of hyperinflation 2009-2012 where GOLD goes to infinity and the home prices go to ZERO in GOLD

Good Trading

Well, if this goes to the extreme, international trade & business will grind to a halt in fairly short order.

I don't think many really wants that, and I don't expect the powers that be to allow that to happen - unless they cant stop it, or more likely do the wrong things out of ignorance/incompetense.

Should make for interesting times.

Dear Cobbense, once the mob/people got the wind of somehing they will be unstoppable. No power can hold/control the MOB(ordinary people turned into animals, wich is what is going on for years. Initially slowly, but the pace got faster lately as the POWERFUl are grabbing what they can before the MOB goes after them) You do not get the feeling of final days of ROME, well you will soon. DUBYA just speeded up the BOAT during his 8 years of unconditional support for looting the Dignity of the people, which was the last thing holding them from becoming MOB.

Boris and everybody,

Complicating matters further is Peak oil, whereby oil exporting nations, with their own reserves dwindling, even as they copy the American lifestyle with more consumption, cars, etc. produces two curves, one the declining world oil production curve, the other, the ascending oil consumption curve..they cross in about 7-9 years when oil exports around the world go to effectively zero. If it hasn't already done this before that point due to debt problems, the U.S. economy will also go to zero...

Hi Boris,
The last couple of days have been out of my league (need to learn a lot more).
But I did get the jist yesterday and managed to sell some holdings and got FXY in time.
It is easier to be just an investor, but trading raises my pulse.

Thank-you for everything you are doing!

Dear Hopper,
Trading is a difficult job/calling. It is much easier to be investor. Agree. As a trader you need to have two minds.
1) beautiful fast and clear
2) flexible.

And the order can actually be inveresed if the importance is concern.

Fleixibility, is the ultimate accomplishment for a trader. Being able to sell what you just wanted to by an hour/day ago is the mark of a flexible mind.

Now that is easy ot say, but how does one get this flexible mind.

The only way is to rely on a system. Pressure Gages is an example. It gives you the flexibility and confidence all at the same time. Even after you have such tool trader needs to learn the tool itself.

That is what I try here. You do not have to use my system, but you need something as good or better to buy that flexible mind.

Otherwise you will be mindlessly flexible selling when you must buy and buying when you must sell.

So, when people tell you can be a good trader without a systemic approach eminating from the totally detach mathematical construnct do not believe them.

I never was such until I invented and followed my own system.

Luckily I could write one and change one if I want to.

Those who can not must stick with somebody that has matered the system

That is where we are.

That is what we all learn at the end, unless the trading has broken us completely.

Even when confidence and the knowledge is there, another level of discipline must kick in.

You see I will not recommend trade unless it has alow risk/reward ratio... Yeh, I care about your money, just as much as I care about mine....

Good Trading

psst, psst!! quiet now, so no-one can overhear -
I have just one nice tract of land left on the moon, near a dry seabed that we will irrigate soon, so it is waterfront.
I can let you have it at last years price, just becaues it's you - but you will have to make an up front deposit, quickly now, only $2mil to my secure trusted Bahamas bank account at the well known Wildy Cat & P.T. Barnum Moonshine Bank.
Just send me an email and i'll give you the instructions. But remember, don't breath a word to a soul about this deal, or they'll trample you trying to get at it - it;s one of a kind.
