I would like to add here , that in a none tax advantaged account this would create capital gains event as the distribution proceeds are viewed as capital gains in this case.

What makes me say that Boris that there are other signals that I look at, the vix being one and it has fallen off a cliff and the market has not moved up much at all since the vix broke it's trend line to the downside and another is the RSI indicator, it is not moving up at all and another there is way to much bullishness out there right now so with all the conflicting indicators I feel more comfortable being on the side lines right now. waldo.

An interesting thing is today's 4th IHAP on SPX/ES (~882). That level was very important all throughout 2002-2003 during the last crash and even on the daily for this crash. It must be like the 820 level in terms of long-term support/resistance.

Would Boris' prediction about the dollar cycle not keep crude prices depressed longer than one might expect? I suppose that accumulation is always a possibility, however.
From a supply-demand point of view, contango might end up playing games with our heads, as there could be unnatural supply thrown at the market at arbitrary points in time.
Ok, Sorry being away, looked like market can make it back afternoon decline, but it was not to happen. It went down again.
I do not think that the market has broken down, but if we open gap down tomorrow, that may not be the best thing in the world.
If there is a lot money involved, one can protect it via futures, if much less than that is involved then it is not too bad, but it can not be protected until early premarket or after market open.
One thing is clear, after the BUY signlas get generated, if the market wants it can have the worst action right after those signls.
So, we would need to be on the lookout here
The analag pattern is not atll yet negated and it still has a good chance to play out.

The other side of the equation, though is that, if we are in the nice yielding securities, such as LQD, GIM , ERF, BGR, etc. one can wait out the strorm , even if the market declines. And in those situations one requires less/or no protection.
So, my purchases, are not the market purchases as everybody knows. They are the purchases of securities I listed in my emails to subscribers.
THey require less protection and they are btinging income.
That is why THey do not require the same level of protection if one was invested in index.
