I am frugal unlike the younger population. I ordered a POD which will arrive 30 dec and be pulled out 2 Jan. I will load the POD myself , with the help of a couple of friends. It is quite a system they have but my street is almost blocked with snow. The city is not plowing side streets , I will hire a snow plow myself to get the street clear so the POD truck can get in. I will save at least 5,000 dollars doing it this way.

went north of me but the snow belt up east of cleveland got some and northern pa. got it also. The market just acts like it doesn't want to move, maybe it's froze up also. waldo

Before I left for Santa Monica in 1977 I lived in N.Y. That January the temps never went above 32. I remember the news sign in Times Square reading -8 with the wind chill factor.Then in February we were sitting on the beach in Santa Monica.(Me and my Georgian friend)The funny thing was, we were the only people on the beach.My friend asked me how come no one else was on the beach. The only thing I could figure was "relativity":-)
We went from an Artic chill to basking under palm trees. The Los Angleans saw it as winter and you wait for the summer to go to the beaches.So John, old mother nature is just saying good bye to you.She wants you to remember your last month in Chicago,but she's going to embrace you in a warm hug at your new destination.

Meanwhile my new computer with Vista has a "compatibility" problem and I can't use my trading platform,so back to my laptop.I'm not so compatible myself today,so I may return it for a XP version.

All I am seeing on my 5 minute futures chart is bear flags, the market will have to get above 880 before it has a chance of moving higher and that would be a nice little rally from these levels. waldo.

IF is not just a part of a human logic, it is the essense of the markets. In fact we should pray that it as simple as few ifs and buts. Because, it really is more complicated than that.

I think I know the place, but can't remember the name either. It was on Ocean Ave.I think it had a Blue awning.I remember a great fish chowder special on Friday's. Another fish place was the Enterprise Fish Co., also off the beach in the Ocean park area. I lived a block away. Went in one day and a very intimidating muscle man sat down nearby. It was Arnold Schwarzenegger.

One last thing.While I drove over to post office I remembered a movie with the "blue" restaurant in it.
In the comedy classic,"VACATION", Chevy Chase,near the end of the movie, drives his car to pick up a gun.He makes a u-turn and parks right in front of the restaurant. I think a few people here know the movie. I think the cross street for the restaurant was Santa Monica Blvd.

i woke up this morning to another foot of fresh snow. we had a foot earlier. I had to shovel my driveway so I could get the car out to go to work. i was late an hour late. Atleast we'll have a white Christmas this year :-)
