So, you want to be like Mike!

Ok, Dear Reader then you must have tools like Mike. Like those flying Nike Shoes... But I digress... The major tool of institutional investor is what we call here "GROUPTATION", means rotating money between groups. Boy the money has rotated on wall street last couple weeks. Look at the GROUPTATION table and see for example how "LANDTELCO" has gone from the favorable(low) to unfavorable(high) readings in this table. See how quick. See if you can notice other groups that have flipped drastically past 30 days.

This group research is the first class research that is available for a lot of money from big name advisers. Remember most of the money on Wall Street is made by playing the groups straight or arbitraging between them. Well, Enjoy.

Hi Boris,
I can only say: thanks, thanks...

Maybe someone already asked you, but can't find this: is it possible to get this data as Excel sheet (or similar format)? I could make the graphs for me and other readers.
Regards

Hi Boris,
today I have too many questions. I hope the last one is related to the name of the groups and asset classes: is there any official division which asset belongs to which group or it is your proprietary allocation?
Regards

Dear Curaki,
Are you familiar with the EXCEL charting, could make the grapsh for these groups If I gave the the EXCEL hisotory?

I would be glad to send you the EXCEL files and upates if you can help all and produce the group charts.

But I must warn you there are too many groups for one person to produce the charts.

Think about it. I can give you the data though. There is not problem with that.

Groups in general are of proprietary nature, but many of them are not.

For example BANKS is just BKX, BROKERS is just XBD BIOTECH is just BTK , builders is HGX etc...

YOu see this is all very familiar.

In either case, I have no problem of giving you the history of these groups, with OSCILLATORS built into the graphs and if you can update and share with us will be great. If not I can not blame you. It is a lot of work.

Give me your email and I will email you files.

If you want to make this a project among other members of the readers and share the files with them, so that they can do their own parts that is fine.

I am too busy to do that for all gorups, even though I publish some of these grapsh from time to time

Thanks And Good Trading Dear Curaki

Hi Boris,
I will send you an e-mail and when you send me data file, I will try to make the graphs. How many graphs, it depends on my time. I am programmer, so it should't be the problem.

Dear Valera, Zdravstvuite. Ochen preatno vas slushat...

Charasho!

Canadian Dollar, I believe has reached the high for next couple years. It got to 1.1 USDollars to 1 Canadian Dollar ( AMAZING!).

I believe that we could easily see it go back to 0.91 to Dollars to CAD or even 0.86 within next year.
Over next 2 years it could go to 0.8.

Now, Valera, Please come back sometime after Feb 2008 and I will give an update as the new year readings will influence my forecast.

SPACIBO, BALSHOE DOROGOYA.

Dear Jason,
Please look at the GOLD olscillators in pictures on this post.

You see the pink oscillator? that is the one that the numbers on the EXCEL table represent

It is not the numbers( YELLOW), but the average ( PINK )

Hello Boris....

Thanks again on the buck/yen biz...

Looking at your gold oscillator, if i remember your lesson from September, the yellow oscillator moving down suggests gold is approaching a sell but as the other oscillators are scattered above and below the .50 line...I don't know what the chart says :-) Help me here...

boris said...

Dear Xerxes,
Gold chart here is not entirely clear, while the YELLOW ls low the other oscillator readings are reasonable and if YELLW spikes up they all could get into confortable position...

We expect a bottom with currencies together and move higher into early DEC. Oscillator does not yet reflect that, but as mentioned abote, could do it very quickly. So, let us be on the alert... And wathc the events. Cyclically, I expect the lows here for GOLD and currenncies and high for USDollar

Hello Boris....

Thank you again...

Hello Boris.....

To follow-up on your last response, didn't you also say that we should wait until that yellow oscillator line turns up before going long gold and anti-dollar currencies? And as the latest readings on currencies was .47 and gold being .53, isn't there possibly a lot of declining to do before one should jump in and buy gold or the anti-dollar currencies?

boris said...

Dear Xerxes, there may be indeed some decline left before jumping into GOLD or Currencies.

The only problem is that CYCLES are out of time...

And if you ever give the cycles more benenfit of doubt it has to be when the markets are still overtly unidirectional, which , frankly is still the case. Dollar trend has not yet reversed nor did the GOLD trend. So, being little early may not be a bad idea.
Especially in the context of having a SELL signal in stocks.

Good Trding

Boris,
Since it is close to a Sell signal, would you favor trading the limits on the short side.?

thanx.

Dear John, I would favor trading exactly that way, even though we could still be early.
