Do You Think You Could Make Money With This Picture? AP Money Machine

Sorry, The text is wrong in the picture. It should say...
The pink oscillators soon could turn UP and take the market down with it, which will create base for another rally as the PCratio oscillators start moving back down again pushing the market up.

Dear Boris,

Are tops almost always like this? Boring slow churn until a drag burner to the downside? Is this to discourage many earlier shorts who may get shaken out by the long process? How do "they know when it is time to step on the gas?

Great Asset Allocator Jeremy Grantahm was wrong for 10 years Dear Michael, but he has eventually triumphed.

Good Trading Dear Michael

boris said...

This expereince of Jeremy and other great investors, who were able to wait years to see their invesment ideas come to fruition, has caused me to be trader/investor all at once.

I was like to start as a trader and realised that without smart asset allocation, it would be a long bloody times that I would have to go through and that has made me a better person/trader.

Mobile one, not freezing for any long times bug taking advantage even of those times when things look frozen.

It looks much less exciting to write options then catch the tops, but money is money. If it takes time to earn it then the strategy is worth learning, because market goes through different phases that will not give a chance for clean swing trading profits.

God knows we caught every marjoer turn since 666 in spx( including 666) and made hunder points, but even we missed the last turn up.

So there, it is impossible to be perfect in trading.

but perfection should ne sought and all kind of methods need to absorbed and predicted to deploy when market conditions call for them.

That is what I am teaching today and that is the only way.

History does not know any other period when the market has been going up almost 2% a week, which is what we did for last 7 months.

Incredible is hardly a word, but most of it was known to us/me

I was asked about year ago, where the spx will be next octobr( 2009) and I musth have said something like 1160/1260.

How did I know.

I do not know, I just know that markets move and Have seen too many examples of it. I guess, brain remembers (:-

Good Trading Dear Michael.
this is nothing to be discouraged, this is exciting to learn how market goes through phases

Gold demand falls 34% in Q3: World Gold Council - Reuters

Reuters reports gold demand fell 34% in the third quarter as high prices weighed on investment flows and led to a slump in jewelry buying in key markets like India and the Middle East, a World Gold Council report showed on Thursday. But speculation in gold futures and expectations for more official sector bullion buying are keeping prices elevated despite a dearth of physical demand, according to the WGC's investment research manager Rozanna Wozniak. "For most of last year, the buying was very physical," said Wozniak. "(Now), it seems to be more financial market-driven, by some of those other less visible instruments -- derivatives, futures, over-the-counter transactions." "In terms of why it is happening, we have had some good news coming out from the central bank sector, as well as the fall in the U.S. dollar," she said. "That says something about potential future demand." A 200-tonne gold purchase by India's central bank pushed gold prices sharply higher in early November. But high prices have pressured physical offtake this year as consumers shied away from the metal, even as large investors and central banks bought gold as a portfolio diversifier. Indian jewelry demand tumbled 42% to 111.6 tonnes in the third quarter from a year earlier, though it inched up from extremely low levels earlier in the year. In the Middle East, jewelry buying was down 34 percent at 69 tonnes. Greater China, however -- which comprises China, Hong Kong and Taiwan -- saw a 10% rise in overall demand to 128.6 tonnes, while jewelry demand rose 7%.

The beginning of the end Dear Boris:

Nov. 20 (Bloomberg) -- The European Central Bank tightened the rules for the collateral it accepts for loans as it tries to restore the “proper functioning” of markets and prepares the ground to unwind emergency liquidity measures next year.

The bank “will require at least two ratings from an accepted external credit assessment institution for all” asset- backed securities issued from March 1, 2010, the Frankfurt-based central bank said today in an emailed statement. In January, the ECB said it required a rating from one credit assessor.

“It’s a small measure but it’s going in the right direction,” said Juergen Michels, chief euro-area economist at Citigroup Inc. in London. “The ECB is just going to be less generous from now on.”
