Thanks For Being With US

boris said...As Dear Dave told us the other day... Are not we lucky to be reading the WALL STREET JOURNAL of TOMORROW?
boris said...Dear Readers, Subscribers,Actually , I think Dave was little too modest, cause we had the WSJ of Tomorrow four over 3 months now and I had it for over one YEAR!
So, would you like to be reading WSJ of tomorrow or next month or next YEAR?

OK you need to subscribe to one of these:

1) SEEFUTURE one year ahead $1000
2) SEEFUTURE 3 months ahead $250
3) Tailored Service $250/quarter, includes SEEFUTURE

Do you also want to be getting the market outlook every day before market opens( So far , most of those have been right and/or close to the money, which is amazing to me, myself), then Just call up the guys/girls at http://www.paypal.com/ and give them my id bchikvash@aol.com along the payment and we will give you the best service on the planet(:-

Our script did not work today. We got few fakes thrown at us. Firs the currency play in the midday and then the banking "assault" at the end of the day. Well, no fakes confused us though. We stuck with keeping 5% investments in and watched the same banks come back "cooking"( one of my comments). Well, It takes experience to perform this way. Not a miracle, not a supernatural powers. Experience. The ability to keep in one's had multiple numbers and to concentrate on them. I was watching the BKX numbers like a hawk. It gave me clue that after the slaughter, they would take up the banks as the leading group to lead the recovery of the market. Ok. Just a part of the many lessons one learns when investing/trading properly.
We are now 50% invested in the Asset Allocation Scheme of ours. We put in additional 5% to work today. Congrats!

Boris,

I had a little bet on the bank/REIT rebound after the bounce off of the huge AP. That worked out very nicely... would have worked out many times better if I had sold 1 minute before the bell instead of 5, but that's life. :) There's always another trade...

Thanks so much!

Hello dear John....

Why move to AZ when you can take
those "strong dollars" to the "Old World" with all its charms and attraction, medieval and otherwise :-)

Good weekend everybody...

Xerxes,
I spent my whole life here except for the all expenses paid trip to Vietnam in the 60s. Any place but here. Some place where you can see the sun and some warmth. A few years back we went 17 days in a row in February with no sun. People are miserable then, especially me.

Boris,

A little anecdotal news. I have had the house up on the market since May of 07- took it off last winter and put it back on the market in the spring.
Over the last 2 weeks we have seen an unbelievable amount of interest in the house. I cannot tell you why but we are still receiving calls although it is listed as sales pending on the website. The price is the same, everything else is the same.

Just some general info.

old john

boris said...

Dear John,
This anecdotal information is very important. In fact, it could be telling us someghing, which I have not yet completely flashed in my mind, but It is getting in the puzzle togehter with others and it may make more sense soon!

Good Trading and thanks for sharing this information

Dear Boris & John,

If you are a believer in "Dollar is hading into the toilet", you will buy up hard assets too while the dollar has some value left :D

A lot of the big sharks are fleeing the dollar into anything that may hold value, gold, RE, they are hoping and praying that full on deflation does not hit us. lol. IMHO, they are about to learn a very hard lesson.

Enjoy

boris said...

Dear Vishal,
Our Dollar outlook can not clearer.
We said for 2 year that Dollar bottoms PASSOVER ( APRIL 2008) and TOPS PASSOVER 2009 (March/MAY 2008).

We do not know if D(eflation), I(nflation), or F(laflation) is coming our way. We just trust our way of cycle interpretation and think that cycles are more powerful than man/woman populating our plant.

Until proven wrong we stick to that cycle. Nobody could explain why Dollar "will" strengthen in 2008, but now everybody seems to be export on why it "has".

We are not experts , we are cycle followers. But we are flexible enough in trading technology to accomodate the "fakes" thrown our way. In fact, frankly, we think that is all we can really do.

Please take a look at least chart on this link....looks quite interesting re: cycles

http://astrocycle.net/Long.php?DIV=Economy

boris said...

Dear KB,
My concept of cycles is very different from the ones described here. Which are convetional cycles approach to the markets.

I do believe that fixed cycles have their place in the markets, but my approach of cycles is more of patterned cycles not the fixed cycles. Markets tend to fake the fixed cycles and send people/traders wrong way to ruin.

Cycles I follow take much more work and are much more reliable once identified. That is why my Dollar predictions were much better timed.

I can not explain my methods, because they are proprietary and should remain that wey if they are to retain the power they have exhibited so far.

Nevertheless these charts presented heare are very interesting by themslves. Thanks for bringing them to our attention

Good Trading

boris said...

Dear Kb,
Just to complete the thoughts on the previous post. The way I work with cycles ( patterns based , in addition to turn point based), I am able to actually chart the future, instead f giving arrows into turn points, which may or may not prove correct.

That is the reason of astounging success rate of SEEFUTURE and YBR, as they actyally show the map of the road instead of possible end points.

Boris,

I was out for a walk this afternoon, one of neighbors just put up a SOLD sign on his house also. It had been up for sale about 8 months.
Walked the whole area - high was 21 homes for sale- there are now 16. Some I think were sold, some were pulled from market. Anecdotal only

Vishal said...

Dear Boris, My comment was more of an attempt to explain why the rich guys are buying up RE than a comment about the dollar. I am of the opinion that while the dollar is strong, I will keep selling it bit by bit (just as u prescribe).

Vishal said...

I would like to clarify that Im selling the dollar bit by bit, more as a hedge than anything else. I will continue to live and work in the USA, and because of this massive exposure, I do need to hedge against a possible collapse in the dollar ;)

With the stock market so bad the past year many people are giving up on stocks and the wealthier ones are fishing in real estate, both commercial and residential. If you want a useful piece of anecdotal information regarding commercial real estate... I know two people are purchasing a commercial property and the lender said their application a few weeks ago was the FIRST in over three months. Just the APPLICATION!

I have been beating up agents in Chicago at the table and getting my way including commission rebates from the broker on my side of the table. The trump tower came down 20% without a commitment to buy on a north facing 3,500 sq. ft. place.

The guys with money think that real estate is a better investment because it is something tangible and it has been bad for a couple years. This does not make any of the purchases intelligent.

The situation is bad and it has not improved one bit, I am happy for you if you find a buyer John!

PS - I am in Chicago for those that didn't know already.

John said...

D,

I have a buyer and just hope all goes well with the closing. He has financing and we are scheduled to close 29 Dec.

John said...

D,

I also came down about 25 % from my original price point 18 months ago. What I did was put it on line with a service for 300 and only pay the buyers agent. So, I undercut many of the homes around me. I wanted to get out as where we are looking in the Phoenix area, they have taken even more of a beating. We were out there about 2 years ago when the bubble was almost at the peak. A house we liked was approximately 425,000 dollars. We could not have afforded it. Same house just sold in the area for 233,000. Some people out there got creamed, I do think I will be ok.

Also, I was referring to commercial real estate agents. My anecdotal sources on residential is focused on the mortgage brokers who source the money for purchases.

boris said...

Dear Vishal,
I certainly understand where you are coming from on "hedging". Yes, that is the other "right" way to look at this.

Agree , pretty much.
