Attraction Points(Apoints) COMING UP

I am not entirely thrilled with this market and find it hard to call, but here is what I see. High open, stop of the progress within 1st hour. Meandering at best(perhaps some attempt higher, just before 12:00ET, after that and lower into 14-15 ET period and mixed closing. If we see breakout to new highs(quote, meaning new 5day low in JPY) in JPY, I will reconsider this outlook.
ENJOY your day

Back from hunting, killed two squirrels and wounded 10 sopitalist. Ha Ha. Waldo.

Hm. Does the volume seem anemic today? I have to sit on my hands because of it.

Sentiment has been market bearish all day (heavy put buying), and that makes me reluctant to follow. Sitting is good.

P/C ratio pretty low here--so more call buying

ISEE is neutral

Oct. 30 (Bloomberg) -- In the third quarter of 2007, Volvo AB booked 41,970 European orders for new trucks. Guess how many prospective purchases Volvo, the world's second-biggest maker of heavy rigs, received in the third quarter of this year?

Here's a clue. Picture a highway gridlocked by 41,815 abandoned trucks -- because Volvo's order book got destroyed to the tune of 99.63 percent, with customers signing up for just 155 vehicles in the three-month period, the Gothenburg, Sweden-based company said last week.

Incredible.

Well the SEK ( Swedish Kronen) is down 35% since last July!

Lagscrew,

ISEE index/ETF numbers might be the more interesting ones to follow.

Since Oct. 9, when I started saving the ISEE data, equities have experienced much more call buying than put buying. There might be imbalances in the morning. However, things shift to the call-side by market close. My guess is that short-selling of individual equities is more prevalent, which leads to protective call-buying; speculative call buying is certainly a possibility as well.

ISEE index/ETF data, however, shifts from market bearish to bullish depending on market behavior.

That said, the ramp into today's close led to an increase in index put buying.
