11:53 ET, So far so good with our market scenario, send/emailed to this morning to subscribers

13:15 ET, We can say that our first move higher into 11 /12 was perfect almost. Our next move lower, is not wrong, we are still below the 11:00 high, but it certainly is not making whole lot of money. Everybody is gone home and Later Friday predictions should not be taken seriously. So, I call it a day. on the market prediction.

16:10 ET, Actually Dear Subscribers and Readers, The Prediction is done on JPY and JPY has more or less has responded perfectly to the prediction. 12:00PM Area was a broad top ( JPY quote) and the rest was unchanged. Market has done interesting thing the rally of last hour was totally unsupported by YEN. So, there you go CORRELATION or anticorrelation do not always work even though the forecast was GOLDEN for JPY( which is what it is for)

NEWS AT A GLANCE

Central banks man the cash pumps

With the U.S. bailout plan stalled, central banks around the world pumped billions of dollars into money markets today, to try and ease a drought in lending. The European Central Bank and the central banks of England and Switzerland injected $74 billion in U.S. dollars, and Japan and South Korea's central banks also put up cash. (Reuters) The U.S. Federal Reserve boosted the amount of dollars it can lend to foreign central banks, to $290 billion. (CNNMoney.com) Government bond yields also rose. "It's gloomy because the bailout package was seen as the cavalry coming over the hill,'' said Richard McGuire at RBC Capital Markets in London. (Bloomberg) Oil, on the other hand, fell below $105 a barrel on the bailout doubts. (AP in Yahoo! Finance)

Bush at 9:35 am : "Its hard work. There is no disagreement that a lan is needed. Dems and GOP will work together to pass a plan", not an exact quote.

Read "plan" instead of "lan" above

Just thinking out loud but why does the FED need cash to bailout the busted banks and brokers? Why don't they just do as they have been doing and take over the bankcrupt companies then sell the good assets. Ie: Washington Mutual. Oh, maybe they just want to bring Christmas early to there friends. John Q Public just has to choose do they want Facism or Socialism. Good luck to the US.

Hey Boris, do you think we are in a K winter?

JW said...

I read that bank borrowing is now averaging 188b a day at the Fed. At that rate they are going to burn through that little 700b pocket money fast.

boris said...

Dear Sqroot,
I am sure we are not in a good position politically and/or economically

I am sure that the inadequate wealth distribution, reaches the point where you can not milk the cow that has no milk left. That is where people are.

You can not milk them any more. No juice left.

So the SOPITALISTS know that they have reached the end of their ability to suck more out of , at least, American people.

Their Bluffing and lies are becoming clear or appparent to an ordinary person in the street ( perhaps without knowing all the details), but clear.

So, Either they ( SOPITALISTS) can turn CHINA/INDI/BRAZIL/RUSSIA into another AMerica very fast or we are doomed. For next decated will be bad. I do not think those people can become CONSUMERS, like americans all that fast.

Perhpas EUROPE, but I doubt.

Too many smart people in EUROPE, especially in GERMANY. They remember what happened to them.

So, Yes we are in for bad 5-7 years, but I do not know to call it Kondratief or any other winter.
I prefer to call a Boris's winter, not because of my ego, but because it is my unique view that I do not want to fit to anybodies.

Dear Boris and all,

Perhaps when there is time someone can explain this to me. It sure seems much of the world is in as bad or worse shape than us. Is there a reason why they are all waiting on our "Bailout". I am getting the impression we are bailing them out more so than us? J

אנטי-סופיטליסט said...

That is why there is a hold up on the so called package. Paulson's plan is to also bail out foreign banks and congress wants no part of it. waldo

lagscrew said...

Its the democrats that want to bail everybody and everything out

K-Wave Winter
Hmmm, let's see... check, check, check... well you get the idea.
• Excessive debt
• Stocks start major bear market
• Debt repudiation significant
• Bankruptcies
• Banks and quasi banks in crisis
• Credit crunch – interest rates rise
• International currency crises – a la 1931-34
• Gold and gold equity prices rise as deflation takes hold
• Social upheaval

Can you tell this market is boring.

I always enjoy reading comments on Marketwatch.com to stories. They have all been running heavy against the bailout. I have noticed this afternoon, all the comments to stories have been shut off? Or is it my computer. If this is true, they have silenced a large negative voice.

Dear Boris

Have a nice a weekend.

It will be usefull if you can bind to each MDS status the reading of SPX when it flipped. such as: SPXMDSFilptoSELLon1198

thanx
Sharon

boris said...

Dear Sharon,
The reason, I do not do that is simple.

MDS is always on close signal.
So, when it flipped it flipped on close day preceeding the message.

It is also not so important where the signal was generated as one must worry now, about what todo.

Usually the best way to see that is as follows.

Ok MDS flipped . SPX is open and it is -5.0 points that means that the MDS signal was generated at the current price +5 points.

That is it. It is very simple. Unless , of course, I am missing something that you would likd to see and it is not as easy I think
it is.

Good Trading
